The Kelt Capital Hockey Academy has a close link with schools and provides a couple of options to develop hockey within the school set up. The focus is on getting sticks in children’s hands, and encouraging participation. Fun is the key for these players aged from 4-12 years with parents, teachers and volunteers closely linked to the programmes to encourage ongoing support for young players.

May & September
Primary Schools are invited to the Kelt Capital Stadium for a day of skills and games.

Mini Me
March/April
October/November
Running two afternoons per week, the Mini Me programme is open to any child from the community as either an introduction to the game of hockey or as a kick-start to their season.

Local Holiday Programmes

These programmes are an open invitation to the community targeting both hockey playing children and those who are just keen to try something new and exciting during the holidays. These are normally 1 or 2-day programmes incorporating the real basics of the game of hockey.

Big Day Out
July & September
Runs twice a year and caters for local secondary school players.

Hockey Fantasticks
April/May & July & October
Runs five times a year and caters for primary school players.
